V. E-TTL Autoflash with an EX-Series Speed!ite
With an EX-series Speedlite like the 380EX or 220EX, flash photography is easy with the E-TTL (Evaluative-Through-The-Lens) autoflash system which is linked to the active focusing point. It is as easy as using the built-in flash.
An external Speedlite is recommended when a high flash output is required for group shots and special lighting effects.
